Project Summary

Due to the impact of Hurricanes Irma and María through the Island, the Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division (EFLHD) contemplates to conduct emergency repairs in multiple sites within the geographical limits of FEMA Branch 2 on various roadways, due to the damages occurred, to several highways to guarantee the safety of the users.


This project consists of the installation of a Modular Vehicular Steel Bridge (Mabey Bridge) with 19-bays x 3.15 m Compact 200 TSHR3H, access ramps, guardrail and remove failed piers structures from the river. The work includes providing professional engineering design services, survey, quality control, erosion control and other miscellaneous work necessary to restore safe travel at area.

The Scope

  • Supply and install a Modular Compact 200 TSHR3H Mabey Bridge.
  • Removal of concrete piers from the river.
  • Install: Bridge access ramp, guard rail and traffic signals.
  • Provide: Engineering design, Quality control and Safety.
